Job description
PPI Engineering Ltd designs and manufactures large, bespoke HV motors and generators predominantly for the power industry, including the renewable energy sector, and provides new designs and re-verse engineers replacement of obsolete machines. Operating in over 50 countries we supply innovative and reliable engineering solutions to our customers.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced, driven, mechanical engineer to join our dynamic design department.
Job Overview
Working alongside our design engineers and draughtsmen to provide mechanical knowledge and expertise throughout the design and production process.
Provide feasibility studies, advice for quotations and customer designed machines. From preliminary details on achievability of new designs and ideas, to evaluating existing designs.
Checking design drawings to ensure mechanical advice has been followed.
Through our sister companies (API Engineering/API Capacitors) there is the opportunity to get involved in projects for a variety of other industries including steel production, farm machinery, earth moving equipment and the mining sector to name but a few. From reverse engineering products to designs of new bespoke machinery for customers.
